GrainGrowers Pre-Budget Submissions

Over the last two years Australia has experienced a challenging inflationary environment, particularly affecting household budgets and impacting all participants in agricultural supply chains, from paddock to plate.

GrainGrowers’ pre-budget recommendations within this submission are constructive in nature and aim to bring about structural cost reductions in supply chains and increase Australia’s global market share for grains, pulses and oilseeds.

These budget requests not only enhance the resilience and sustainability of Australian grain growers in a challenging transitional period but also help ease inflationary pressures on consumers in Australia by structurally lowing supply chain and input costs, while increasing the enabling supply of labour. This approach is a win-win for both grain growers and the Federal Government.
