Hi everyone, I’m Hannah and I farm with my fiancé and his family in the Lower Mid North region of South Australia and the Upper Great Southern region of Western Australia. Between our properties in both states, we crop around 6,500 hectares with average rainfall for our area about 400mm, with particularly dry conditions in South Australia this year.

As Summer comes to an end, we are currently preparing for the upcoming seeding season planting our winter crops for a summer harvest. We are starting our program earlier this year beginning around April 1st and are currently busy spreading lime and preparing our soils.

One of the current challenges we are facing is coming off a drought year in SA. With minimal moisture in the ground, it’s likely that we will be facing another dry sowing season. However, with a wetter start to the year over in WA, we see the opportunity for higher yielding crops and hopefully an overall better season.

We are proud to be Aussie grain growers as we are able to produce high quality foods that feed Australia and the world.
