Over the past 12 months GrainGrowers has been working on a review of its governance framework. The review has focussed on the formal document that establishes our governance framework - our Constitution. As GrainGrowers has evolved, the current Constitution contains some drafting that references entities no longer in existence, as well as wording around corporate governance practices that need to be updated.

GrainGrowers engaged Albrecht Burrows to review the Constitution and to prepare a new draft that is clearer, while not materially altering the basic structure of our organisation. The proposed Constitution will be presented to members for adoption by way of Special Resolution at the Annual General Meeting on 15 September 2021.

GrainGrowers welcomes comments or questions in relation to the new Constitution from members, so these can be considered before formal notice is given of the Special Resolution. A copy of the proposed Constitution is now available here and an explanatory memorandum has been prepared by Albrecht Burrows.

If you have any comments or would like further information, please provide these by ua.moc.sreworgniarg@pihsrebmem.
