They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but if you win the GrainGrowers' Calendar Photo Competition, your picture could be worth $1,000.
The Annual competition kicked off today, offering four cash prizes: $1000 First Place, $500 Second Place, $250 Third Place, and $250 People's Choice. The Top 12 selected images will be featured in the 2025 GrainGrowers Calendar.
The competition is open to all growers and will run throughout October. Entries will close on 31 October 2024 at 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
GrainGrowers' CEO Shona Gawel said the competition was an excellent opportunity to capture the essence of the grains industry at work.
"The competition has been running for many years and has delivered some stunning images, reflecting the depth and breadth of the activities that comprise the Australian industry."
“It also shares a ‘snapshot’ with the broader community of life on the farm, which they otherwise might not get a chance to see.”
"I would encourage our members to get inspired, get involved and send us their images through the GrainGrowers website," she said.
