Peter Creaser

Australia’s Minister Counsellor, Agriculture, to the EU

Peter Creaser is Australia’s Minister Counsellor, Agriculture, to the EU based in Australia’s Embassy in Brussels. His role is to support trade opportunities for Australian Agriculture products. Over the last 30 years Peter has worked in the private sector, and state and federal governments, working closely with trading partners, exporters, farmers and governments. With DAFF Peter has worked for 10 years in Trade and Plant Biosecurity Divisions which included supporting export and market access for the grains sector. Peter has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Natural Resource Management and is a Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation.

Dr Prudence Gordon

Executive Director, Australian Centre for International Trade and Investment

Dr Prudence Gordon has worked on international trade and investment issues for over 30 years as an academic, a diplomat, a policy maker, in an industry association, as a senior adviser to three Australian trade and investment ministers and currently, as the Executive Director of the new Australian Centre for International Trade and Investment (ACITI).

Prior to taking on the role at ACITI, Pru was Senior Adviser to the Australian Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment. Earlier roles include General Manager, Trade and Economics at the National Farmers Federation, and officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). At DFAT, Pru worked in the Office of Trade Negotiations and the China Economic and Trade Section. She spent three years as a diplomat working in the Trade Branch of the Australian Embassy in Washington DC. Prior to joining DFAT, Pru worked in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and the Department of International Relations at the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, Australian National University (ANU). She spent two years as Dean and Acting Head, Fenner Hall, at the ANU. She began her career as the Trade Policy and Research Adviser with the Parliamentary Research Service, Parliament House, Canberra.

Zach manages GrainGrowers’ policy and advocacy efforts working to ensure the right policy settings for Australia’s grain growers. Previously, Zach has worked for the Department of Agriculture and most recently was the Grains Policy Director at AgForce Queensland Farmers. He has qualifications in International Relations and Public Policy and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Zach is from Merriwa in rural New South Wales, where his family remains involved in agriculture.
