Applications open for Northern Region growers

Grain Growers Limited (GrainGrowers) is a grower representative organisation with members across Australia. The purpose of the organisation is to build a more profitable and sustainable industry for Australian growers.

The Board of GrainGrowers comprises of six grower directors and two independent directors.

Nominations are now open for two Northern Region (North of Dubbo, NSW and all of QLD) grower director positions.

To qualify candidates must:

  • Be a member of GrainGrowers.
  • Be a resident or in the business of grain production in GrainGrowers Northern Region (Queensland and northern New South Wales).
  • Hold a strong commitment to the further development of Australia’s grain industry.

It would be highly regarded, and preferable, for applicants to have a proven record of success at board or committee level. Applicants should possess a solid understanding of governance, strategic approach, and behave in a collegiate manner.

The appointees will be highly motivated to contribute to the growth and development of this dynamic and contemporary member-based organisation.

Other desirable skills for consideration include:

  • Strong understanding of the Australian grains industry.
  • Engagement with member and broader industry and government stakeholders.
  • Investment and risk management experience.
  • Finance, Accounting and/or sustainability/ESG understanding.
